Website
Website design from scratch for development company that built the Riverwalk at Talking Stick, an exclusive business and lifestyle community, encompassing 2 million square feet of Class “A” multi-story and single-story office space and 600,000 SF of retail amenities. Audience: Small to big businesses, office and retail space tenants.
My main goal was to create a website design that should present the new object of the development company, contain all the important information about it and the surrounding area, attract the attention of potential customers and encourage them to book a tour.
We were approached by a client who cooperated with a developer company that needed to create a website for a new large complex to attract tenants and business representatives
Key takeaways from the meeting:
The client needed a website to attract small and large businesses, tenants of office and retail space. The main CTA is to make site visitors order a campus tour.
Client is looking for minimalistic and clean design.
We want to keep it simple and clear, including navigation.
We need to give the immediate sense of what this website is about.
We want to focus on visual part (images, map, videos) and not to overwhelm with a text.
We want to highlight the areas of the complex (restaurants, offices, hotels, retail) to give a better understanding about it's structure.
After the kick-off call I got the idea I proceed with competitors review, to see what their websites look like, their structure, CTAs, what are their strong and weak points in general. It gave a base for future design decitions.
After competitors research and collaborative work with content managers I proceed with wireframing phase to layout all the contents and imagery we have.
The most challenging part was the map section. We wanted to make it interactive, so that the user could see all the buildings on the site, could click on them and read information about this building, about what stage of construction it is at, see photos of this building. We had some technical limitations, so we simplified the idea, but kept the interactivity and achieved the goal.
Wireframes
Once the wireframes were approved, I started working on the UI mockups. I did a few iterations on the homepage to make sure we were happy with the style and then continued working on the other internal pages.
We created the site completely from scratch, starting with the research that accompanied the wireframes and ending with the user interface design, including the mobile version. The site is already up and running.
